J Alan Erwine

J Alan Erwine lives just outside of Denver with his amazing wife and their youngest daughter. Yes, J is now old enough to have two adult daughters. J's family shares their household with four cats, and a turtle that pretty much keeps to himself.

J has published more than 70 short stories, five novels, and numerous short story collections. A few years ago, J realized that although he loved the small press, he couldn't make enough money writing for them, so at that point, he took control of most of his work, and has been publishing mostly independently ever since.

J is the managing editor at Nomadic Delirium Press, and in addition to writing and editing, J has also taken an interest in creating role playing games. He is the co-creator of the Ephemeris Science Fiction RPG, and the creator of the Divided States of AmericaRocks on the Other Side and Battle for Turtle Island RPGs.

Joel Ewy

Joel Ewy is centrally located for your convenience, has a wife and two kids, and took the Liberal Arts concept way more seriously than it was probably ever intended to be. He's a digital philosopher, and also fixes computers, sometimes for pay.

He's just irresponsible enough to start spending a little less time doing that and more time writing, and making weird, anachronistic computer-based art pieces. Joel has an extensive collection of classic computers from the late '70s to the early '90s and beyond, but he's still looking for that free Atari ST to fall out of the sky. Use your best faux German accent, or pretend you're Dr. Strangelove when you say his last name, and you might get it right. (Hint: Ay-Vee)

You can also find him in the Alternative Truths Anthology.

KL Forslund

A trip to the library when he was ten, sidetracked his promising writing career for a few score mastering the secrets of computer programming.  He earned a black-belt, wrote and recorded a terrible music album and got a patent during those dark years. Yet the words itched to come out, so here we are.

KL Forslund keeps his stuff in Texas where he cosplays, writes quirky stories, makes things, plays with light sabers, and competes in steampunk poetry slams. His wife and pets find him useful, and he shares helpful information (and free fiction!) in his blog.

His work can be found at https://klforslund.com

PS. He finally won the steampunk poetry slam with Hallowed Be Thy Gears.

Pierino Gattei

Pierino Gattei began writing to relax in the downtime from his professional and charitable careers, and is now focusing on bringing the worlds he has created to his readers.
Alongside his own fiction, he is deeply committed to encouraging new voices, particularly young writers. Through the Bright Futures projects at Sunlight Books, he works with primary-school children to help them develop, refine, and publish their own stories.
He also runs science-fiction writing competitions and edits submissions for themed anthologies, working closely with contributors to strengthen their stories while preserving their individual voices.
His work can be found at https://www.pierinogattei.com

M. E. Owen

M.E. Owen writes science fiction, fantasy and crime, often in the same story.

She lives on the wet side of Washington state, and when not writing, plays with honking big transportation geodatabases, occasionally kayaks and more occasionally throws knives (not all at once, but that would be cool).

Her short work has also appeared in Abyss & Apex, Fireside Fiction, Fiction River, Flash Fiction Online, and elsewhere. Her debut novel, Survival Instincts, a science fiction noir, is scheduled for publication in 2018. You can keep up with her at www.MEOwen.com.

Mary Jo Rabe

Mary Jo Rabe writes science fiction, modern fantasy, historical fiction, and crime or mystery stories, generally displaying a preference for what she defines as happy endings. Ideas for her fiction come from the magnificent, expanding universe, the rural environment of eastern Iowa where she grew up, the beautiful Michigan State University campus where she got her first degree, and the Black Forest area of Germany with its center in Freiburg where she worked as a librarian for 41 years before retiring to Titisee-Neustadt. She published "Blue Sunset", inspired by Spoon River Anthology and The Martian Chronicles, electronically. News about her published stories is posted regularly on her blog: https://maryjorabe.wordpress.com/

She indulges in sporadic activity on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/rabemj) and BlueSky (maryjorabe.bsky.social)
