Pierino Gattei began writing to relax in the downtime from his professional and charitable careers, and is now focusing on bringing the worlds he has created to his readers.
Alongside his own fiction, he is deeply committed to encouraging new voices, particularly young writers. Through the Bright Futures projects at Sunlight Books, he works with primary-school children to help them develop, refine, and publish their own stories.
He also runs science-fiction writing competitions and edits submissions for themed anthologies, working closely with contributors to strengthen their stories while preserving their individual voices.
